Donald Trump’s campaign says he is “fine” after what law enforcement officials are treating as an apparent assassination attempt during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
The former president was quickly whisked from the stage by Secret Service agents, his ear covered in blood.
A prosecutor Saturday night said the suspected gunman and at least one attendee are dead, and the Secret Service said two spectators were critically injured, as of 9:45 p.m.
President Joe Biden and other political leaders condemned the attack. “There’s no place in America for this type of violence,” Biden said. “It’s sick. It’s sick.”

There is absolutely no excuse—and no place whatsoever—for violence in American politics, and those responsible for this must be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. I am keeping Donald Trump in my thoughts and hoping he has a swift and full recovery.

We pray for God's grace over our nation after today's assasination attempt on President Trump. I am heartbroken to hear an attendee was killed. President Trump, covered in blood, fist in the air, showed the strength and resilience that has defined him his entire life. 1 Timothy 2
